Chasing Jesus - Day 15
Day 15 Scripture:
Surely he has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows; yet we esteemed him stricken, smitten by God, and afflicted. But he was pierced for our transgressions; he was crushed for our iniquities; upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace, and with his wounds we are healed. All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned—every one—to his own way; and the LORD has laid on him the iniquity of us all.
Isaiah 53:4-6
Prayer Prompt: Exchange Transgressions for Healing
Meditate on the cross, the blameless Lamb of God slain for all of humanity to have a chance at redemption. His hands and feet were pierced all the way through, bearing the weight of his body. His side was pierced with a spear, pouring out blood and water. Meditate on how all of this was done for our transgressions. While we were in rebellion he took our griefs, sorrows, and iniquities bearing the wrath of God in our place. Choose to believe the power of the cross and search out full healing by the blood of the Lamb.
