Here are some more details of our preferred future:

We are committed to nurturing an outward focus in our ministry.  We work hard to offer an inspirational Sunday morning experience where our guests feel welcome and we pray for opportunities to share a personal touch with those in our circle of influence.  However, that doesn’t mean that we neglect the internal nurture of our spiritual lives.  We want to encourage parents in the raising of our children and strengthening of our marriages.  We support one another as we deal with the many battles presented by an increasingly secularized culture.  And, we stand together as we face the often painful struggles of life in a fallen world.

Approximately 43,000 people live within a 12-mile radius of Beaver Dam.  Our vision is to influence 2% of our population.  That means that we are trusting God that
Harvest Church will touch 850 people by the year 2015.  Here are some ways to increase our influence that we are praying about:

Outward Focused Goals:

~ Grow by adding more services at our present location.  This can be accomplished by adding more services on Sunday morning or adding a service on Saturday evening.

~ Expand our present campus to accommodate more people. We are blessed with 15 acres of land contiguous to our present facility that offers the opportunity for a building project.

~ Expand our ministry through an off-site campus.  A popular tool used very successfully by many churches is a video campus in a neighboring community.

~ Plant a fully-functioning church in a neighboring community.

Nurturing Christian Growth:

~ 80% of all adults who attend Harvest are involved in a small group where they are growing in their intimacy with Jesus, community with one another, and compassion for unbelievers.

~ The development of a pre-membership class taught to newcomers at Harvest that provides a basic understanding of the Bible’s story and the essentials of the Christian life.

~ Youth ministry that touches 1% of our community’s middle school and high school population.

~ A youth Bible instruction class that introduces every student with the essentials of the Christian Life.

~ 80% of all adults involved in a ministry of service that grows out of their own spiritual giftedness and passion.

~ Every leader actively raising up another leader with the intention of multiplying ministry.

~ 80% of Harvesters providing 80% of our financial needs and 20% providing 20% of our financial needs.  (This is a reversal of the common trend of 20% providing 80%.)
